Erio-CC

This program is freeware - there is no charge associated with Erio-CC.

Erio-CC is a clause compiler. It will pick up 'clauses' from a document and compile them into another in the order you want.

Installation

Unzip the download specifying a folder, say, C:\Erio
Any programs from Erio Services can co-exist within the same folder.

The download will unzip to two files which must exist within the same folder.
ErioCC.exe is the program. ErioCC.txt is the data file that holds the clauses.

You may want to create a short-cut to ErioCC.exe on your desktop.

To uninstall simply delete the two ErioCC files and any desktop shortcut you may have created.

Instructions

There are no instructions included in the download but the program is very easy to use.

The clause file.

The first thing is to create the list of clauses. A short clause file, ErioCC.txt has been supplied with the download. You may wish to modify it or create a new one and replace the supplied one. Bear in mind that the file must be called ErioCC.txt and that it must exist in the same folder as the program.

The file must be in plain text. A clause is a paragraph, a complete sentence, or a part of a sentence. Each 'clause' is separated from the next by a single carriage return (a single Enter key press).

It is probably best to compile your clauses document using a plain text editor like Notepad.

Using Erio-CC.

Once you launch the program, you will see your clauses in the lower large box.

Clicking an item in the clause list will copy it to the box at the top of the screen. Notice how clauses are added immediately below the highlighted line in the top box. You can insert an item mid-document by clicking the line below which the insertion is to take place, in the top box.

If you make a mistake you can delete items from the top box by highlighting them and clicking Delete.

If the Space out checkbox is ticked, a hash (#) mark is placed at the beginning of subsequently entered items in the top text. You can switch Space out on or off as required. Its function is explained later.

Once you have compiled your document, click Document to clipboard. Now open your favourite word processor and Paste the text into it for finishing.

The document is compiled to the clipboard by inserting a single carriage return after each clause UNLESS the hash mark (from using Space out) is detected in which case only a space will separate the clauses.

Since the hash mark (inserted whilst 'Space out' is active) is inserted at the beginning of a clause entry to the top box, you should not use hashes as the first character of clauses in ErioCC.txt.
